Quick and Tasty Dinner Solutions with Ground Beef

A simple yet hearty skillet dish featuring ground beef, perfect for a quick weeknight meal.

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 diced bell pepper
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Push the aromatic mix to the side and add ground beef. Break it up and cook until browned, seasoning with salt, pepper, cumin, and paprika.
  3. Add diced bell pepper and cook until softened, about 4 minutes.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes and let simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Serve over rice, noodles, or use as a filling for tacos or stuffed peppers. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For an extra kick, add chili flakes. Stir in sour cream or heavy cream before serving for creaminess.
