Sticky Beef Noodles

A delightful combination of tender beef and silky noodles coated in a sweet and savory sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces egg noodles or rice noodles
  • 2 cups mixed bell peppers and carrots, julienned
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • A dash of sesame oil
  • Chopped scallions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once heated, add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  5. Toss in the julienned bell peppers and carrots, stir-frying for another 3 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked noodles and remaining marinade to the skillet, mixing until coated and warmed through.
  7. Plate the noodles and garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Keep the heat high for optimal stir-frying. Prepare all ingredients in advance to streamline cooking.
